BONG CABRERA, BRINGING A WORLD-CLASS PRESENCE TO CINEMALAYA 22’S ‘TAYO LANG ANG NAKAKAALAM’

From the international recognition of Lav Diaz’s “Magellan,” which became part of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, to his remarkable performance in “Cinemartyrs” and his acclaimed stage portrayal in “BALOS” at VLF XXI, Bong Cabrera continues to prove his excellence as a world-class artist in Philippine cinema.

Now, Bong takes on another challenging role in the film “TAYO LANG ANG NAKAKAALAM,” an official entry to Cinemalaya 22: Reel Reflections. In the movie, he portrays Deej, the Head of the Human Resources Department and the boss of Neil (Martin Del Rosario) in a call center company.

Through his deep and emotional performance, Bong adds more weight and intensity to a story that explores love, family, sacrifice, and the struggles people face in life. He stars alongside Martin Del Rosario, Miguel Odron, Yayo Aguila, Epy Quizon, Madeleine Nicolas, Bodjie Pascua, Adrian Lindayag, and Nour Hooshmand, under the direction of David Corpuz.

Bong Cabrera’s star continues to shine beyond the local entertainment industry. This coming September, he will fly to Los Angeles, California, USA to attend the 3rd Annual Manila International Film Festival, happening from September 3 to 6, 2026, where the film “No Room For Love,” in which he is part of the cast, will be featured as one of the official entries.

After that, he will head to the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, which will take place at the Lido di Venezia, Venice Lido, Italy, from September 2 to 12, 2026, featuring the film “Makikiraan Po (Let Us Through, Dear Ancestors),” directed by acclaimed filmmaker Lav Diaz.
